~Quick update on our life~

So it's been a few weeks since I last updated my blog.  We've been pretty busy.  Jason has been working some crazy hours at work.  Kayla and I have just been busy with a Fisher Price Party that Kayla was invited to (it was so much fun and Kayla got free toys!!), mommy/baby yoga, visiting Mimi and Grampi at the lake, shopping for winter clothes with Grandma (can you believe she is already wearing 6-9 months!) and reading lots of books.  Kayla has also kept me busy because she's moving around so much.  She's not quite crawling on all 4's yet but she can get from one side of the room to the other in less than 10 seconds.  It's amazing!  She's also saying mama, but I'm not sure if she knows what it means.  Still no teeth!  So frustrating.  Can you believe that!  I feel like it's going to be years before we see anything in that mouth of hers.  She still enjoys her food though.  She has no problem eating puffs and grapes and watermelon, etc.

I've also been preparing for a yard sale that I keep having to postpone due to this lovely weather.  I'm hoping to have it next Saturday for sure.  I've been making a lot of jewelry so I can try and sell that there too.  Basically I've barely had time to catch my breath let alone check my email and reply to people and update my blog....  Hopefully soon I'll be able to get back to people when things have slowed down and we're back on our normal day to day schedule.
Till next time,
~Linda

Nine to Nine

I was able to keep Kayla up until 9:00 last night.  (I was hoping for 8 but time flew by and before we knew it it was 9).  So anyways, I woke up this morning at 8:00 and looked over at the monitor and Kayla was still fast asleep.  I was shocked!  I layed in bed for about a half hour watching the monitor and then got up and ate some breakfast.  At 9:00 I went back in to look at the monitor and she was just about waking up.  She was just lying there playing with rocket (her stuffed animal).  So I basically went in there and talked to her for a few minutes before picking her up and taking her into the kitchen to eat.  It was the best morning I've had in a long long time!  I'm hoping it will repeat tonight.  So far it's 7:15 and she's still up.  She used to go to bed at 6:30 and wake up around 5:30.  It would be so great if she would be one of those babies who sleeps not only 12 hours but nine to nine!!!
